VXR2005 has just spoke to Dave and he is ok but in hospital at the mo but apparently his veccy is a write off will update u all later when we know more ..........

too true sis apparently by the sounds of things the tosser who hit his brakes and caused the accident took off and left the scene of the accident and it wasn't caught on camera Dave is in hospital with back problems and assures me he is ok and he is going to ring me later after he has got the all clear from the hospital so like i said will give u all an update later ..................

Many thanks to every one. The Wire Wizard and Jane, Akko and VXR2005 phoned us in the hospital, ha ha ha lmfao, but thank you lads.
Ok I am alive after walking away from a motorway smash. Heres what happened:

Fast lane M60 traffic slow doing 30, yep 30mph. Now a guy in an old Astra for what ever reason stops in the fast lane. (What a tw@ ) Guy in the Audi locks up and I catch him up the rear lol (Easy) he jumps out and shouts to the Astra "Now look what you have caused, there is no reason why you have stopped" he then drives off !!!

I manage to get my vec over to the hard shoulder and what a mess. Like bob says heavy front end damage, both wings, bonnet rad ect and my GSI bumper all gone. Now as the bumper is a genuine I will remove this and get it mended (one day) Just got back from the hospital and they say I have heavy whiplash, great just in time for Christmas ho ho bleepin ho !!!!

The Audi driver tells us what happened and well you can imagine how annoyed this made me. Contacted the police and asked if they can check cameras for redg of Astra. Sorry mate, camera aint working!!!

I have had so much hassle with the insurance people even though I am fully comp, just capped it all. They say because the Astra driver drove off then its my fault, fair doo's it will be classed as too close, but allthough I have the injurys, no compensation. They say all insurance companys have this policy. So I asked if I had lost both my legs, then would I get compensation and guess what yep - Nope !!!!


All I can say is when it all gets sorted, then I will be getting another Vec with out a shadow of a doubt, so you aint getting rid of me lol ....

I reckon an afternoon parts swapping should be done as they are going to write it off so salvage what you can off it

What a ****. Glad to hear theres nothing serious damaged mate. hope your up and towering over us all soon.

As for the vec, get as many bits off her as possible. if the main structual damage is that bad save the bits and scrap the shell buy a new vec.. if it's nothing too serious then buy the car back and rebuild ;)..

Make sure you get plenty of rest buddy.

Gary allready started. I have people on here bending over backwards, (but thats another story !!!) to help us. Wheels and interior have to get saved, ( cost me too much ) I have until Monday so all the other mods that can be removed before then...........

Blimey hun, glad your ok though...if you find it hard to sleep with pillow as is tonight get some string and tie in middle so it looks like a bow, its what a dr advised me when I had bad whiplash. Take it easy as much as you can hun
